We, at BMACS, follows a strict protocol to curtail the risk of Covid infection. Face masks are compulsory in the Private GP practice building. Any suspect of Covid infection, has to self-isolate and do not have to come to the practice.
Private Coronavirus Testing
BMACS provides the UK approved antibody test (Abbott) and PCR (Swab) COVID tests for individuals, fit to fly certificates and businesses.
Where Can I Get A Coronavirus Test?
To help both individuals and businesses, BMACS is now offering a private coronavirus testing service to forward plan and minimise COVID risks.
There are two types of tests – the Antibody test and the PCR (Swab) test.
The Antibody Test or Abbott Test detects if you’ve had Coronavirus in the past and you have recovered now.
The PCR Test or SWAB Test detects if you’ve currently infected by the virus.
Both the tests are approved by Public Health England.
What you need to know:

- Results will be available within 48-72 hours (depending upon the situation0
- Follow-up doctor appointments available
- Test Certificate available
- Cost: £180 per test (member discount available)
- PCR test available for corporate clients (please call for more information)
Procedure of PCR Test
- Test sample is obtained with a sterile nose/throat swab.
- Tests are administered by experienced medical personnel.
- For utmost accuracy, the sample is analysed in a UKAS Registered Lab.
- The test is effective for the both asymptomatic and symptomatic infections.
- Accuracy: Sensitivity is 100% & Specificity is 100%

Do I Currently Have Coronavirus?
At BMACS, we offer Lateral Flow Instant Covid-19 Antigen Test, uses nasopharyngeal swab, which will provide results in 15-20 minutes. The certificate will be provided at the time of your appointment. The average accuracy of Antigen Test is 98% with Sensitivity of 97.56% and Specificity is above 99.9%.
Note: Some countries do not accept Covid-19 Antigen Test Certificate for entry, therefore, check before booking an appointment.
Looking for Fit to Fly Covid Test?
Do you have a business trip or are you travelling abroad and require proof that you are Covid free, in other words, fit to fly. Fit to Fly Certification, showing a negative Covid-19 Swab Test, are required by some countries. BMACS offers Fit to Fly Certification, showing formal laboratory results of Covid-19 Swab test, ready for your departure.
